Not like our other worlds
Most worlds here start with your idea. This one started with ours.
Creation OS usually builds a world from whatever you describe. LAWGRAVE is the other way round. We made this one by hand: its history, its peoples, the people who keep its kitchens and counters, and the stories waiting at their doors. You don’t design it. You arrive in it.
What stays the same
- You play in your own words.
- The Narrator answers.
- The world keeps what you did.
The prologue
Two hundred years ago, the laws of the universe failed for one night.
- Year 0 / The First Failure
Reality broke down for one night.
Gravity went wild, machines came to life, and the stars made noise. Then it stopped.
- The Lawgrave
A strange place appeared where reality broke.
It is bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside. Everyone in the Ossuary Reach has lived near it for 200 years.
- The peoples of the Reach
Five different peoples live in the Ossuary Reach.
Some are humans who live on giant ships. Others are not human, like minds made of sound, groups of many small creatures, or giant plant intelligences.
- The Fivefold Armistice
The peoples fought over planets, resources, and old grudges.
They made a fragile peace at Cinderwake Exchange, a station where they can meet and trade. It is inside a very old, broken spaceship.
- Year 204 / Now
The Lawgrave just pulsed three times.
New paths appeared through space, called Scarways. Each people heard a different message from the Lawgrave.

Every people has its own nature, its own home and its own rulers. Each one offers three classes, and every class has three branches of training to grow into.
The Processional BeltHuman. Inherited fortress-nations.

Canticle NullResonance. A voice housed in an instrument.

SoundbladeFast melee fighter
SoundcasterRanged damage and disruption
Battle SingerSupport and resonance repair
The Shedding SeaColony. One host of many small lives.

The Garden MarchGarden-vessel. A fraction of a planetary mind.

Crowned Bearers
It is waiting for an answer. So are you.

Pick one from your bar, say what you do, and watch the dice land. Train down your branches as you level and the bar grows with you.
The people of the Reach
Over a hundred people live here. They were expecting someone.
Quartermasters and cooks, wardens and cantors, envoys from all five peoples. Each keeps an office and a daily routine, and sometimes they’re out when you call. Here are a few of them.

The Rib Kitchen, Cinderwake Exchange
An Empty Place at the Table
One of Mother Calla’s regulars, a dock hand called Benno Rask with a bad cough, has not come to the Rib Kitchen in three days.
Ask Calla Dross

The Hall of Kept Tones
The Voice at the Dock
For nine evenings, when Ilve sounds the evening tone, a voice has answered from the dock: one note, a little late, in no register the hall keeps.
Ask Ilve Two-Rests

The Seedhouse, Verdant Heart

Three thorns issued this season are not answered for, and the High Gardener has asked for the account.
Ask Fern-over-Stone

A note from us
LAWGRAVE is the biggest thing we’ve made. Every people, every class, every face behind every counter was written, painted and played over and over, here in Perth, Western Australia, for many weeks. We’re proud of it, and this is only the start. We can’t wait to hear what you do out there.
The Creation OS team
This is the beginning
LAWGRAVE will keep growing.
Opening day is the start, not the finish. We’ll keep adding to the Reach: new people at the counters, new stories at their doors, and more of the worlds beyond Cinderwake to explore. The stories you finish can come back in later chapters, so what you do now carries forward.
- More people to meet
- More stories to see through
- More of the Reach to explore
