[GUIDE] BEFORE YOU BIND OR FOLLOW

What a Tome is.
What it is not.

A living world comes first. The book is the record you choose to make from it.

IT ISA faithful, readable edition of the story you played.
IT IS NOTA raw transcript, a replacement for your world, or permission to rewrite what happened.
01What is a Tome?

A Tome is a polished book edition of a story you already played in Creation OS. It turns recorded scenes, choices, and consequences into readable chapters, with a cast, cover, and book-ready PDF.

02Is it a transcript or a newly invented story?

Neither. A Tome removes status readouts, repeated actions, and other play residue, then shapes the events into continuous prose. It is expected to preserve what happened, who did it, and how it ended. It should not invent turning points or rewrite an outcome.

03Does binding a Tome change or finish my world?

No. The Tome is a read-only edition of the story so far. Your world remains playable. When later Chronicle chapters reach a natural close, you can add only those new chapters while the finished pages stay unchanged.

04Who can bind one, and what does it cost?

Tome binding is a Pro feature. A fresh Tome starts at 100 Spark, and each later newly closed chapter costs 50 Spark. Pro includes up to 12 new Tome chapters per billing cycle. Chapters already bound are not charged again.

05Is my Tome public by default?

No. It stays private until you create a public reading link. A Tome Library listing is a separate, optional submission and every listing is reviewed first. Broader creator listings are still rolling out, so the direct link remains the generally available sharing path. You can remove a Tome from the Library while keeping its direct link, or stop sharing to make that link stop working.

06What can readers see, and what does following mean?

Readers see the public book edition, its chosen title, cover, creator mark, chapters, and cast. They do not gain access to the playable world, private world records, hidden material, or follower addresses. Following requires email confirmation and sends an update only when new chapters are added. Every update includes an unsubscribe option.

07What happens in a shared world?

Each active player can bind a personal edition from the history made together. The binder spends their own Spark and controls their edition voice, title, cover, public link, and Library submission. One shared history can become several personal books.
