LIVECREATION OS® WORLD-MANUFACTURING SYSTEMEST. 2026 · PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIAPOWERED BY CANONLOCK® IISYS v4.0

Honest answer · Updated August 2026

Is Creation OS worth $14.99 a month?

Yes, if you want to keep returning to the same world and expect it to keep score. No, if you want one afternoon of agreeable story and nothing more. Creation OS has a generous Free plan so you can find out which person you are before paying.

The short version

Creation OS looks conversational because you play by describing what your character does. The conversation is the door. The product is the world behind it: your money, possessions, promises, relationships, quests, property, and history kept as a standing record.

Pro does not buy a prettier paragraph. It buys room to keep going: a 1,500 Spark refill each billing cycle, unlimited built-world slots, more Art Forge use, more checkpoints, public publishing, priority access, and the ability to bind played history into a Tome.

Stay on Free ifConsider Pro if
You are still testing whether the world holds togetherYou regularly return to the same long-running world
One built world is enoughYou want to build several worlds
You mainly explore borrowed Showcase worldsYou want to publish your own world to the Showcase
You do not need book editions of your played historyYou want to bind that history into a Tome

What Free actually includes

Free is a real test, not a guided preview. No payment card is required. You receive 200 permanent starter Spark, enough for about 66 play turns if you spend it only on play. Your first built world costs no Spark. You have one built-world slot, one save checkpoint, one starter Art Forge credit, and unlimited access to borrowed Showcase worlds.

Shared Worlds is included too. You can invite up to five friends into a world you own. Everyone plays their own character and spends their own Spark. There is no separate multiplayer fee.

What Pro adds for $14.99

Pro refills the Pro portion of your Spark balance to 1,500 each billing cycle. If you spend all of it on 3-Spark play turns, that is up to 500 turns, about 3 cents per turn before counting any other Pro benefit. The refill does not stack past 1,500. Purchased or permanently granted Spark stays separate and does not expire.

  • Unlimited built-world slots. Each build after the first costs 30 Spark.
  • Three save checkpoints per world.
  • 10 complimentary Art Forge generations each billing cycle.
  • Priority access and early access to new features.
  • Publish your own worlds to the public Showcase.
  • Bind up to 12 new Tome chapters per billing cycle.

Tome binding still uses Spark: 50 Spark per new chapter, with a 100 Spark minimum for a new Tome. In a Shared World, each active Pro player can bind a personal edition using their own Spark and chapter allowance. The full current terms remain on the pricing page.

The test that matters

Spend an exact sum. Earn a named item. Swear a specific promise. Then play twenty turns about something else. Leave and come back. Ask what happened to that money, item, or promise.

A simple chat can improvise an answer that sounds right. A world with a standing record should still have the fact for you to inspect. Run that test on Creation OS before upgrading. The free world is the argument.

An early duel and an ancestral sword return more than 1,000 turns later without a recap from the player. Inspect the public 5,011-turn record.

That is the honest persistence claim. Not perfect memory. Not a promise that every line will always be recalled. One published world was checked at turn 5,011 with its people, groups, places, and long-running consequences still on file. The Narrator can still miss a detail. The record is what makes correction and continuity possible.

More than a solo story

Shared Worlds supports up to six players: one owner and five invited friends. It is asynchronous, so nobody needs to be online at the same time. Each person has their own character, inventory, and Spark balance. Their actions change one shared world, and players can move toward one another to adventure in the same scene. It is not a real-time room and it does not automatically pull an absent character into another player's scene.

Players can give gear directly to one another, follow the shared turn feed, and bind personal Tome editions from the history they made together. See exactly how Shared Worlds works.

What else is in the world

  • Build a playable setting across fantasy, science fiction, historical, modern, horror, investigation, naval, survival, and other genres.
  • Track relationships, factions, quests, currency, reputation, and consequences.
  • Find item cards, loot and equipment, then craft, equip, repair, or sell what matters.
  • Recruit up to three companions with their own abilities, morale, equipment, and inventories.
  • Own property, assign workers, run production, manage stock, and respond to changing markets.
  • Use genre-specific systems for investigations, survival, politics, football club management, and more.
  • Ask the Daemon for help finding your way through the product and your world.
  • Create optional portraits and world art through Art Forge.
  • Play on desktop or phone after creating your world on desktop.

Items become more than sentences

When a find matters, it can become an item card with its own picture and record. A weapon, deed, relic, or tool can stay in your inventory, be equipped, pass to a companion, or be given to another player in a Shared World.

Your history can become a book

Tome turns played history into a chaptered personal reading edition. It is not a raw scroll-back and it is not a promise of a commercially edited novel. It is a way to keep, read, share, or print the story that actually happened in your world.

Who should stay free

Stay on Free if you play occasionally, if one built world is enough, or if you have not yet felt the difference between an improvised answer and a world that keeps score. Upgrade after the free world proves its value, not before.

Consider Pro if you return often, want several worlds, use Art Forge regularly, publish to the Showcase, or want your played history bound into a Tome. If none of those things matter to you, keep the $14.99. Free exists on purpose.

Questions people ask

Is Creation OS worth $14.99 a month?

It is worth it if you regularly return to the same world and value continuity, multiple built worlds, Tome book editions, more Art Forge use, and publishing. It is not worth it for a one-afternoon story or for someone who has not tested the free world. Creation OS Pro costs 14.99 US dollars a month and can be cancelled at any time.

What is included with Creation OS Free?

Free includes 200 permanent starter Spark, the first built world at no Spark cost, one built-world slot, unlimited access to borrowed Showcase worlds, one save checkpoint, one starter Art Forge credit, and Shared Worlds. A play turn costs 3 Spark, so the starter balance supports about 66 play turns if it is spent only on play. No payment card is required.

What is included with Creation OS Pro?

Pro refills the Pro portion of your Spark balance to 1,500 each billing cycle. It also adds unlimited built-world slots, three save checkpoints per world, 10 Art Forge generations per cycle, priority access, early access to new features, public Showcase publishing, and Tome access for up to 12 new chapters per cycle. Worlds after the first cost 30 Spark to build. Tome binding costs 50 Spark per chapter with a 100 Spark minimum for a new Tome.

Full Pro specification
Can I play Creation OS with friends?

Yes. Shared Worlds supports one owner and up to five invited friends. It is asynchronous, so players can act on different schedules. Each person has their own character, inventory, and Spark balance while changing one shared world. There is no separate multiplayer fee. Whoever takes a turn pays the normal 3 Spark for that turn.

How Shared Worlds works
What can you do in Creation OS?

You can build and play worlds in many genres, follow persistent relationships and consequences, collect item cards and loot, equip and recruit companions, craft, own property, run production and trade, invite friends into a Shared World, explore public Showcase worlds, create portraits and world art, and bind played history into a Tome with Pro.

See the live feature set
Is Creation OS just a chat interface?

No. Conversation is how you move through the world. The product is the standing record underneath it: your character, inventory, currency, relationships, quests, properties, and consequences. The Narrator can still miss a detail, but the record gives the next turn something firmer than the previous paragraph.

Does Creation OS remember everything?

No product should promise perfect memory. Creation OS has a public world record verified at turn 5,011, with its people, groups, places, and long-running consequences still on file. That is evidence of a long run, not a promise that every sentence will always be recalled perfectly.
